UBX Planner is a platform designed specifically for urban explorers, lost-place photographers and adventurers. It combines a private map, tour planning, checklists and controlled sharing with friends or groups. There is deliberately no public lost-place database, because protecting sensitive locations is a core principle of the project.

UBX Planner is planned for iOS and Android. The goal is to provide the key functions on both platforms with a consistent and easy-to-use experience.

No. Your saved locations are private by default. Only people you explicitly share a spot with can access it, and UBX Planner does not provide a freely accessible public spot map.

Lost places are often sensitive locations. Public coordinates can attract vandalism, theft and excessive visitor traffic. UBX Planner therefore focuses on private collections and controlled sharing rather than a public location database.

Yes. Address and location data are processed and stored in encrypted form. This is intended to make sensitive spot information significantly harder to read in the event of unauthorized access. Privacy is a fundamental part of the UBX concept.

With a standard account, data is stored within the infrastructure intended for UBX Planner and linked to your account. Sensitive address data is encrypted. Pro users will additionally be able to connect their own database for greater control over data storage.

No. UBX Planner is not designed to sell personal spot collections or location data. Your private lost-place addresses are not intended to become a public or commercial spot database.

Yes. Locations already maintained in Google Maps, or exported location data, can be transferred into UBX Planner. This means you do not need to rebuild an existing collection from scratch and can move directly to categories, tours and route planning.

Data management is designed to allow saved locations and tour data to be exported or backed up. This makes device changes, backups and continued use of your own spot collection easier.

Yes. This option is planned for Pro subscribers. It gives advanced users, teams and larger private collections more control over where their data is stored and how it is integrated into their own setup.

Core features include a private map, custom pins and categories, AI-assisted route planning, planned stay duration per spot, checklists, friends and groups, and controlled location sharing. It brings spot management and tour planning together in one application.

You select the locations you want to visit. The AI assistant can take distances, driving times, planned stay duration and a sensible order of stops into account, then build an efficient day route designed to reduce unnecessary detours.

Yes. Spots can be organized by country, type of building or your own categories. Colors and icons help keep large collections clear and make specific types of lost places easier to find.

Yes. Tour-specific checklists can be created and completed item by item. They are useful for equipment, batteries, memory cards, food or any personal task you want to prepare before leaving.

Yes. You can share selected spots, create groups and prepare tours together. Your entire collection is never shared automatically – you remain in control of exactly which locations you make available.

Yes. UBX Planner is planned with a free entry version plus the expanded Explorer and Pro plans. The plans differ in available features and limits such as the number of saved pins or checklists.

Yes. Upgrading to Explorer or Pro later is planned. Existing spots and tour data are intended to remain available, so you do not need to rebuild your collection.

Important planning information that has already been loaded should remain available on the road wherever possible. Features that require current map data, synchronization or AI route calculation may still need an internet connection. The exact offline scope may evolve before release.

No. UBX Planner is an organization and planning tool and does not grant permission to enter any property. Users remain responsible for observing ownership rights, access restrictions, safety rules and applicable laws.

No. The concept is deliberately built around the opposite approach. There is no public spot map, sensitive addresses are protected and locations are shared only in a controlled way to support responsible exploration.

Google Maps is primarily a general mapping and navigation service. UBX Planner adds tools built specifically for urbex: private encrypted spot management, Google Maps import, categories, stay duration, checklists, group functions, AI route planning and, with Pro, the option to connect your own database.
